Volunteer and Related work

Allegheny Community Child Care Center (1996-1997)
Parent liaison for the Allegheny Community Child Care Center. Responsible for maintaining relations between parents and the Board of Directors, aiding in center staff decision-making, curriculum development support, drafting of annual budget and general outreach. Offered a position on the Board of Directors in 1997.

Department of Children Youth and Families, Portsmouth Office (2000-Present)
Volunteer for the Portsmouth District office, foster-care division. Responsibilities include community volunteer coordination, district-wide social event planning and assisting in the distribution of needed supplies and parent support.

Licensed Foster Parent (2007-2008)
Primary care provider for at-risk children and teenagers. Maintained medical records, behavior journals and additional confidential information. Coordinated communication between multiple state agents and biological parents. Responsible for teaching coping skills, language development, and behavior modification as well as assisting in long-term treatment planning.
