Gus's words on 1/18/07

I am a very sentimental person. I keep things. Store away thoughts, prayers, well-wishes and wisdoms of anyone who has them for use on many of the rainiest of days. Last night, I had such a moment--one of those never to be forgotten--with Gus. How my heart aches for he and his dear wife! In looking for some solace from this great man of even greater faith I looked into my archives for his very own words. With some irony, 2 years and three days ago Gus sent this email to many of his friends and family. The closing lines stood out for me, for HIM, today..... I post this as much for me, for him....and maybe for anyone questioning how much is needed at times of great adversity. It can be, at times, hard to recall the depth of our own faith. Still, like the very light of Christ itself, faith can endure. Even under the many pilings of life...it can still be found. Sometimes, in surprising places and still other times exactly where we left them.....in the heart of a true friend who loves you.

Gus says (1/18/07)
What a blessed week it has been. I walk away stronger, knowing that Heavenly Father is mindful of me and what I need and desire and will grant it if I am worthy of that blessing. Likewise he loves others and will help them. With more trust in His mercy and love, all things can be accomplished.

All things can be accomplished.

i love you both.

Gus is in good hands. He's a good guy and his wife, I'm sure, is a wonderful person! They will be blessed.
