Jonah is not a very accomplished speller. You could say, he is really really really bad in fact! At his open house for 4th grade this week, I ended up in rolling laughter after reading a short paragraph he wrote about his recent family trip to 6 flags this summer.
Trying to describe a game he played to win a panda bear--he fell into some trouble. The game involves rolling ping-pong balls down a slight ramp and into slots that will advance a horse along in a race against others. The first to get the highest number with all their balls rolled will win. He wrote:
"I rolled balls to make my hore run. It was fun. I won a pris."
I just had to laugh and laugh that Jonah rolled balls at a whore to make her run....catching it appears, a prissy one!!
Phonics, people! Don't underestimate their power!!
