October 8th

Yesterday was Ren's birthday....and it was a great one. Way to come through, pward! hilights:

• 1. 4 in daycare 7:15-4:00, shorter day--yeah!
• 2. I saved a baby squirrel from Mangus...and it actually lived! (The darn cutest thing I've seen in a long time!)
• 2. I made two dinners
• 3. I dusted the inside of the window jam. Yeah, it was that compelling!
• 4. I actually WRAPPED the presents this year....not green, but a step-up from just handing her the bag from the store!
• 5. I remembered to pick up the birthday cake, if even forgetting the candles
• 6. We adopted a rabbit (to continue on with the 3rd year of birthday critters for Ren)
• 7. I stayed sane
• 8. Ren smiled, right up to her last blink. (Her gift to us)
• 9. Joe's 4th night in a row with us (feels like a 'real home')
• 10. Nobody fell in the bonfire
• 11. Fun last night took away the sting today of hearing I am losing one of my students, AND 1/4 of my income.
• Happy Birthday, Ren! I love you from all places, all sides, and in all ways!
